Edelbrock to Mark 70th Anniversary with Fourth Quarter Promotion
TORRANCE, CA - Building quality and performance since 1938, this year marks Edelbrock's 70th Anniversary. Edelbrock started its humble beginnings when the late Vic Edelbrock Sr., a talented young auto technician who owned a repair shop in Los Angeles, purchased a 1932 Ford Roadster as the family's daily driver and personal project car. This car inspired Vic Sr. to design, engineer and produce Edelbrock's first performance product - the Slingshot intake manifold for the flathead Ford engine. With much success in the dry lake racing with the Southern California Timing Association, Edelbrock's reputation and demand grew into more products and the release of the first Edelbrock catalog in 1946. Flash-forward 70 years and Edelbrock has grown from a small grass roots business to the performance aftermarket's premier manufacturers of performance parts and accessories.
To commemorate their 70th year in business, Edelbrock is announcing a consumer promotion from October 1 through December 31, 2008 on three of their staple products; cylinder heads, carburetors and intake manifolds. When consumers purchase qualifying product Oct 1 - Dec 31, Edelbrock will send them a free merchandise package valued from $32.94 to $110.85, depending on the product purchased. Free merchandise includes a signature series ball cap and limited edition "American Muscle" T-shirt when you purchase any intake manifold; a signature series ball cap, "American Muscle" T-shirt and autographed book when you purchase any new carburetor; and a signature series ball cap, retro mechanics jacket and autographed book when you purchase any pair of cylinder heads. Books are limited in supply and available while supplies last.
"We are very excited to launch our 70th anniversary promotion", states company President Vic Edelbrock Jr. "Our company has grown through dedicated and loyal customers and this our way of thanking them for 70 years of support. This presents a great opportunity to put a little Edelbrock under the Christmas tree and get some free apparel and an autographed copy of the book, Edelbrock: Made in USA as an added incentive".
