FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Torrance, CA (March 28, 2006) - Edelbrock engineers know what it takes to make a sport compact engine perform on the street as well as the dragstrip.

The Performer X intake manifolds for Acura and Honda Civics are engineered for street/strip applications where peak torque and horsepower gains are realized between 3000-7800 rpm. This is ideal for the street, and can prove to be beneficial on the strip as well. The larger-than-stock plenum volume and 9" runner length are tuned to produce peak power at higher rpm ranges, making the Performer X Series intake manifold ideal for all-motor and turbo applications where low-end torque is key. We tested this setup in a 1992 Honda set up for street/strip. Before, its best quarter mile ET was 12.40 at sea level. After switching to our Performer X manifold and a tune up, it ran an uncorrected 12.06 (at 2,700 feet). In addition, the low-end torque increased dramatically, greatly improving street driveability.

All Performer X manifolds are 50 State Street Legal. We have manifolds available for 1994-01 Acura/Honda B18C/GSR, 1994-00 Acura/Honda B16A, Type R/B18C5, 1991-00 Acura/Honda B18A/B, 1996-00 Civic EX, D16Y8 SOHC and 1992-95 Civic EX, D16Z6 SOHC. Upgrade at any time to 4 auxiliary injectors by adding the Secondary Fuel Rail Upgrade Kit #4779 (injectors sold separately). Check out our website for a complete list of manifolds available in as-cast or polished finish.
