TORRANCE, CA (Nov. 17, 2005) - Continuing a storied history that dates back more than three decades, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) and the Edelbrock Corporation have agreed to extend its multi-year contingency contract.

This program includes every NASCAR race in every NASCAR Series including the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the NASCAR Grand National Division, the NASCAR Elite Division, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours, and the nationwide NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. The deal runs through the 2010 season.

Edelbrock, a manufacturer of aftermarket performance parts for over 67 years, and NASCAR have a 30-year-plus working relationship. The two companies have similar histories: both are highly successful family-run businesses with their roots in racing. Vic Edelbrock Jr. took over the reins from his father, Vic. Sr. many years ago, just as Bill France Jr. did the same from Bill France Sr.

Edelbrock is also a member of the NASCAR Officially Licensed Automotive Aftermarket program. I couldn't be happier with extending our relationship, said Vic Edelbrock Jr. Our long association with NASCAR has been extremely beneficial to Edelbrock. This agreement with NASCAR, the number-one racing sanctioning body in America further solidifies our commitment to racers throughout the racing industry.
