TORRANCE, Calif. (July 29, 2005) - Edelbrock's Pro-Port As-Cast Cylinder Head for GM Generation III-IV (LS1, LS6 & LS2) engines is the ultimate LS1 casting for the professional cylinder head porter.

The Pro-Port As-Cast Cylinder Head (#61989) is a bare, unported version of the Edelbrock/Lingenfelter RPM LS1 head (#61969) developed last year with Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE). Starting with a robust casting, this bare head is cast with an extra-thick deck, smaller than stock ports and chambers providing enough metal thickness to allow for custom CNC porting in a variety of sizes with 100% clean up.

All ports and flanges on the Pro-Port LSI cylinder head are in the stock location to ensure an accurate fit on all factory applications. The cylinder heads comes with reinforced rocker bosses, accessory bosses on the cylinder head end, and heli-coiled rocker studs and exhaust flange bolt holes.

Valve seats are installed; manganese-bronze valve guides are included but not installed, to allow head porters access to these critical areas.

The LSI Pro-Port As-Cast Cylinder Head was designed for race-prepared 1997 and later Gen III small-block GM engines and will fit nearly every GM V8 application. This application is for race engines, and is not a stock replacement cylinder head.
