TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 22, 2004) - The Edelbrock Corporation and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE), two of the most respected and renowned names in performance, are partnering on a new line of cylinder heads for LS1 engines. Prototypes of the cylinder heads will debut in the Edelbrock booth (#22243) at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 2-5.

"The late John Lingenfelter was a good friend of mine and an extraordinary performance engineer," said Vic Edelbrock, president and CEO of Torrance, Calif.-based Edelbrock Corporation. "I've always admired his company and believe this partnership will produce the best LS1 cylinder heads in the business. They have a great team at LPE."

The cylinder heads will be produced and sold as Edelbrock products sometime in 2005.

"Like Vic Edelbrock, we at Lingenfelter are really excited about developing these new cylinder heads," said Tom Cress, general manager of LPE, which is headquartered in Decatur, Ind. "We've been producing performance products for the LS1 since 1997, so our expertise in the area will really blend well with Edelbrock's. Working with Edelbrock is a great way to help carry on John's longstanding performance tradition."
