TORRANCE, Calif. (August 4, 2004) -Edelbrock's experience with top competition intakes shines through in its all-new RPM Air-Gap manifold (#7566) for Ford V8 street machines. The new manifold is designed for pre-1988 street and high performance 429-460 + c.i.d. engines with standard or Cobra Jet heads.

Edelbrock's RPM Air-Gap manifold design utilizes the same race-winning technology that's been used on Edelbrock's Victor Series competition intakes. It features an open air space, or air gap, that separates the runners from the hot engine oil resulting in a cooler, denser charge for more power.

This RPM Air-Gap manifold has a larger cross-sectional area (3.3 sq. inches) and a taller carb flange than its predecessor, the Performer RPM 460 manifold (#7166). The new manifold also has a carb mount flange that accepts both square-bore and spread-bore carbs for Cobra Jet applications.

Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap manifolds are modeled after Edelbrock Performer RPM intakes for high-performance street power from 1,500 to 6,500 rpm.
