TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2003) – Jason Snyder, a performance parts specialist from the Midwest, has been named National Sales Manager of Edelbrock, it was announced today by Edelbrock CEO/President Vic Edelbrock.

“Jason will make an outstanding addition to ‘The Fun Team’,” said Edelbrock. “He will bring energy and enthusiasm to match his sales and management savvy. Jason has exceptional technical knowledge of performance products and a keen sense of the performance aftermarket industry that will be invaluable for our business. We’re thrilled to have him and we welcome him to the team.”

Snyder, a 28-year-old Youngstown State University alumnus, is certainly no stranger to the performance industry. He has several years of diverse experience working in retail and wholesale sales within the auto and motorcycle industry. Prior to his new position at Edelbrock, Snyder worked at Pace Performance in Ohio and was responsible for selection, negotiation and purchasing of performance automotive products for a mail-order catalog, as well as managing a sales staff of eight phone representatives.

According to Steve Whipple, Edelbrock VP of sales, “Snyder will now be managing several accounts in support of the Edelbrock product line. He’ll be dealing hands-on with our extensive distribution network that includes automotive parts retail chains, independent store wholesalers and automotive mail-order catalogers.” Snyder, who is an avid auto and motocross enthusiast, is bringing his wife and 17-month-old son with him to California. “It is a great honor to work for Edelbrock, the premiere performance automotive parts company,” Snyder said. “I look forward to continuing the 65-year tradition of excellence that Edelbrock has established.”
