TORRANCE, Calif. (February 18, 2003) – General Motors’ new Hummer H2 sport utility vehicles are cool. But Hummers can be hot by adding any of Edelbrock’s growing line of performance products engineered especially for the Hummer H2.
Edelbrock has a select line of undercar components for the new Hummer H2, a “Total Package” for better performance and handling. For the suspension, there is an H2-specific model of Edelbrock’s newest line of aftermarket shocks, the Xtreme Travel Remote Reservoir Shocks, with the patented RICOR Inertia Active System. Edelbrock rear panhard rods and lower trailing arms are also available for the H2. Edelbrock has combined the patented “Ricor” Inertia Active System with the benefits of a reservoir for extra travel and increased oil capacity delivering superior performance and cooler operation in demanding off-road conditions. Features include a 5/8-inch diameter Nitro Steel piston rod for off-road durability; 46mm IAS valve for superior control in demanding conditions (which keep the tires on the ground and the chassis stable); and a great-looking zinc-plated finish with high-quality -6 braided stainless steel line.
IAS shocks – manufactured by Edelbrock in the USA – are tuned for each application and tested on and off-road with a final dyno check before going into production. The Edelbrock “Ricor” Inertia Active Valve System delivers super steering response around turns with a smooth ride over rough roads. The exclusive design switches instantly between a firm and a soft circuit to offer superior handling and a comfortable ride– the best of both worlds.
Edelbrock has designed a new boxed tubing lower trailing arm with a spherical ball at the axle to maximize articulation without binding. The spherical ball features a special adjustable preload greasable Dilron race for a long trouble free life. The chassis end uses our greasable, fluted polyurethane bushing. This design allows maximum rear suspension movement without bushing bind for superior ride quality.
Designed for the H2, this new tubular panhard rod compliments Edelbrock’s new spherical ball lower trailing arms. The improved design resists unwanted flex and twisting, keeping the axle properly located under the chassis for improved cornering and drivability under all conditions. You get maximum rear suspension travel without bushing bind for a superior ride. Panhard rods include our greasable fluted polyurethane bushings for a long trouble-free life.
Edelbrock’s new shorty headers for the Hummer H2 bolt directly to the factory crossover pipe with no cutting or welding required for installation. Features of these high-quality headers include 1-5/8” diameter cold rolled mild steel tubing; 5/16” thick laser-cut, robotically welded flanges; and CNC mandrel-bent tubing for superior flow. Legal in 50 states, this is a premium line of headers for outstanding performance and quality. These H2 shorty headers are available with a nickel-plated finish (PN 6502), or new for 2003, a black-painted (PN 65020) or ceramic-coated (PN 65022) finish. These headers also fit the Suburban, Avalanche, GMC Pick-ups, Tahoe and Yukon.
Edelbrock makes installation easy with this direct bolt-on system for the 2003 Hummer H2 with GM 6.0L V8. It requires no welding for installation and provides better ground clearance than stock with a throaty performance sound. Built from 409 stainless steel, the dual catalytic converter outlets are merged into a single 3” diameter I-pipe with an Edelbrock Victor Series Muffler for maximum flow and power potential.
