TORRANCE, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2003) – Got Chevy performance? Edelbrock does, and they’ll unveil a powerful new manifold in booth #22243 at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 4-7.

7118 The powerful new Performer RPM LS1 manifold (#7118) is designed for the popular Chevrolet LS1 (5.7L) small-block V8 originally used in 1996 and later Corvettes and 1997-02 Camaros and Firebirds. It also fits the Corvette ZO6 engine and other Gen III engines including the LM7 (5.3L), LR4 (4.8L), and LQ4 (6.0L). The Edelbrock Performer RPM LS1 manifold allows the use of a square bore carburetor for maximum performance on these engines originally equipped with computer-controlled electronic fuel injection. Designed to provide a broad torque curve and maximum horsepower in early muscle cars, street rods and marine applications, this new manifold provides power like a single-plane manifold with the throttle response of a dual-plane for optimum performance in the prime range of 1,500 to 6,500 rpm.

A unique electronic Ignition Control Module and Harness is included that works with OE sensors to fire the “distributorless” ignition system. A choice of three timing curves is offered. Also included is a throttle and transmission bracket that works with a 700R-4, Turbo 350 and/or Turbo 400 to simplify installation of these modern engines in non-computer controlled vehicles.
