Starting with Edelbrock’s legendary Victor 18° head, Edelbrock rolled over the casting an additional three degrees and raised the valve seat to create two new heads offering potential performance gains well beyond the 18° design. Fully CNC machined by Chapman Racing Heads in the intake, exhaust and combustion chamber, these heads feature coolant passages around the two center exhaust seats and the center of the intake flange for auxiliary coolant plumbing. A high-flow port design with a reduced chamber volume makes the 283 cc intake and 43cc chamber head (PN 61119) the ideal choice for virtually all forms of racing while the 317 cc intake, 45cc chamber head (PN 61139) is better suited to high-rpm stick-shift drag racing applications. Founded by Vic Edelbrock Sr. in 1938 and celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2003, Torrance-based Edelbrock Corporation (NASDAQ NM: EDEL) is recognized as one of the nation’s premier designers, manufacturers and distributors of performance parts for the automotive and motorcycle aftermarket and is a driving force in the $25 billion specialty equipment industry. The company owns four production facilities in Torrance and operates a “state-of-the art” foundry, plus a motorcycle carburetor manufacturing facility in San Jacinto, Calif. Edelbrock’s core product line of performance-enhancing engine, suspension and exhaust system parts, which make up The Total Power Package®, are made in the USA. Edelbrock is also a manufacturer of racing products and a major contingency sponsor of several racing organizations, including NASCAR, the NHRA and the PRO Edelbrock Racing series.
