BUYER-PLANNER

Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for coordinating all the activities related to purchasing, planning and scheduling component deliveries to support a manufacturing production schedule and customer requirements for an automotive aftermarket company. Commodities involved may include stampings, castings, machined parts, outside processes and MRO.

Responsibility:
- Utilizing the MRP plan initiates required purchase requisitions to procure material as required. Expedites material, where required to meet shortfall between current plan and manufacturing and/or customer requirements.
- Position require interaction with Manufacturing, New Product Planning, Sales, Accounting, Engineering Departments and Suppliers to analyze quotes, create part numbers, coordinate supplier first article approvals, plan and schedule material, and prepare purchase orders to meet product release schedules.
- Communicate with sales and management on status of any supply issue that will impact production and shipment of products.
- Perform essential duties with a minimum of supervision.
- Other duties as required.

Experience:
3-5 yrs planning experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive aftermarket experience a plus. Must have experience with ERP/MRP computer software, Oracle experience a plus. Knowledgeable in latest methods of inventory control and planning. Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities. Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of staff. Intermediate MS Office software skills preferred (MS Word, Excel, Project, etc...).

Technical Sales

Education:

Responsibility:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong background in the high-performance automotive aftermarket industry. Basic computer skills are a must. The chosen candidate for this position will be handling a high volume of incoming technical related phone calls, and possibly some e-mails and other customer-related issues, as well as interfacing with our sales dept and attending technical briefings.

Experience:
Knowledge of Cylinder Heads, Intake Manifolds, carburetors, valve train and other related components is required. Knowledge of Ford and/or Mopar is a Plus!
