SECOND GENERATION DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM
Edelbrock’s new second generation data acquisition system, QwikData 2, continues to offer all of the
benefits of an advanced system at a great value. QwikData 2 is a complete data acquisition system
designed for a wide range of motorsports. QwikData 2 is manufactured in conjunction with EFI
Technology Inc., a world leader in advanced engine management systems. The system consist of a data
logger unit, PC-based software and various sensors. The system includes built-in accelerometers to measure
longitudinal and lateral vehicle acceleration, battery voltage and up to 30 external channels. QwikData 2 has
been completely redesigned from the ground up and offers more features and configurability than before.
The core of the new QwikData 2 is an up-to-date Windows™ software package. This newly developed
software package gives the racer a simple interface to access more data and feedback than ever before.
Data downloads and transfers have also been improved with the addition of a USB connection. All of the
components inside the LCU are surface mounted to provide shock and vibration resistance along with
increased electrical and RF interference shielding.
QwikData 2 is available in two versions; the basic unit comes equipped with 16 analog inputs (4 are
internal) and 3 digital inputs, the advanced unit has 28 analog input channels (4 are internal) and 6
digital inputs. The digital inputs can record on/off events and frequency (such as mph, rpm and digital flow
sensor). QwikData 2 is compatible with first generation QwikData sensors. These systems are designed to handle
the complexity of today’s sophisticated racing vehicles along with the demands of it’s drivers and support teams. |
